This Lent, we invite you into a season of worship and practice called Renewed in Mercy.
Lent is often described as a time of self-examination, repentance, and discipline. Those things matter—but this year, we are beginning in a slightly different place. Rather than scrutinizing ourselves, we are practicing allowing God to examine us with a tender and loving gaze, trusting that whatever God reveals is held first in mercy.
Throughout Lent and Holy Week, we will explore the mercy we encounter in Jesus Christ—a mercy that does not avoid truth, but meets us honestly and makes us whole through love and grace. This mercy restores dignity, loosens what binds us, opens our eyes to deeper spiritual truth, and shapes us into a community that learns to walk with one another in compassion and hope.
By Easter, our prayer is not only that we proclaim Christ is risen, but that we trust this truth more deeply:
Mercy still speaks—today, tomorrow, and forever.
