Beginning August 9, we will worship in person on our lawn, and we will continue to Livestream the service!
August 16 – A Service of Healing and Wholeness
In this time of confusion, loneliness, frustration, and sorrow, it is difficult not to feel heavy and broken. This sorrow is widespread, we are not alone in our pain. Join us on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m. in Worship, on the church lawn or online via Livestream, as we bring ourselves before God to receive the gift of God’s healing love.
We gather to worship God through song, friendship, prayer, and word – believing that we depend on the faith of Jesus and one another to live as a follower of Jesus.
8:30 AM – SIP AND DIP
We gather for coffee, snacks, and conversation in the Fellowship Hall (upper parking lot, Building C, Second Floor) before we go to Sunday School classes for children and adults.
8:45 AM – SUNDAY SCHOOL
We offer classes for everyone, ages infant through adults. Each class chooses its own studies and are places for small group study and reflection. Check out the Grow page for a full listing of our adult classes and non-Sunday small groups or talk to a pastor to find one that is right for you.
10:00 AM – WORSHIP
Our worship service is relaxed and intimate. We will sing some familiar hymns, greet one another, hear a message of hope and healing from Rev. Kristen, and enjoy selections from our music ministry. Our services normally last an hour.

Children aren’t just the future of the church – they are the church now! We believe that when people of all ages worship together, we get a little glimpse of God’s kingdom on earth. We welcome all children to worship in the sanctuary with their parents, and also invite them to spend some time hearing God’s word shared at a level best suited for their age.
WHAT DOES SUNDAY MORNING LOOK LIKE FOR CHILDREN AT FOREST HILLS UMC
During the 8:45 Sunday School hour, children are invited to join a class on Bible Basics, which is just what it sounds like! You will find the classroom in the lower level of the Fellowship Hall/staff offices building.
We love for children to be a part of our worshipping community at 10:00. Most children sit with their parents for the beginning of worship in the sanctuary, come forward to hear a short Children’s Message during the service, and then head to Wonder Worship together, where they will experience imaginative Bible storytelling and work on a creative response to that day’s story. Following the service, parents pick up their children in the Wonder Worship classroom.
Our nursery is also available during worship for children under 3. You will find the nursery in the Day School hallway.
If this is your first time and you’d like some direction, just arrive a little early (9:50 is fine!) and ask one of the greeters to help show you around.
God has gifted this group with some amazing musical talent and passion! Our congregational choir, handbell choir, strummers group, and other soloists from our congregation regularly lead us in powerful worship. Every now and then, we are also blessed to have community musicians join us! Highlights have included the Grateful Bluegrass Band, string ensembles, and guest organists. Through all music ministry, we hope you will experience both the awesome power and the intimate love of God.
Are you a singer? A bell ringer? Would you like to become one? Email our Director of Music and Worship, Biff Fink; he is a fantastic teacher and leader!
Worship is an act of the gathered people – that includes you! Sign up here to lead the congregation in prayer and scripture reading, to serve communion, or to bring the light of Christ into the sanctuary as an acolyte. We will prepare you for all you need to know and will even help you pronounce those tricky Old Testament names.
