We gather to worship God through song, friendship, prayer, and word – believing that we depend on the faith of Jesus and one another to live as a follower of Jesus.

Students aren’t just the future of the church – they are the church now! We believe that when people of all ages worship together, we get a little glimpse of God’s kingdom on earth.
WHAT DOES SUNDAY MORNING LOOK LIKE FOR CHILDREN AT FOREST HILLS UMC?
We love for children to be a part of our worshipping community at 10:00 am. Most children sit with their families for the beginning of worship in the sanctuary, come forward to hear a short Children’s Message during the service, and then go to Wonder Worship together. There they will experience imaginative Bible storytelling through Godly Play, and work on a creative response to that day’s story. Following the service, parents can pick up their children in the Wonder Worship Room (lower level of the Fellowship Hall/staff offices building).
Our nursery is also available during worship and Sunday school for children under 3. You will find the nursery in the lower level of the Fellowship Hall/staff offices building, across from the Wonder Worship room.
WHAT DOES SUNDAY MORNING LOOK LIKE FOR YOUTH AT FOREST HILLS UMC?
Youth are invited to sit with their families and join in the worshiping community at 10 am in the sanctuary. After worship, we meet together in the Youth Room (upstairs in the Day School building) at 11:15 am for snacks, holy friendship, and growing in God’s story. This year, the Echo 36 curriculum is helping us explore God’s story through deep listening, creative remixing, and sharing our questions and ideas with the group. Immersing ourselves in these stories helps us discover who God is and notice how we are being called to live as growing disciples of Jesus Christ every day.
If this is your first time and you’d like some direction, just arrive a little early (9:50 is fine!) and ask one of the greeters to help show you around.
God has gifted this group with some amazing musical talent and passion! Our congregational choir, handbell choir, strummers group, and other soloists from our congregation regularly lead us in powerful worship. Every now and then, we are also blessed to have community musicians join us! Highlights have included the Grateful Bluegrass Band and a guest cellist. Through all music ministry, we hope you will experience both the awesome power and the intimate love of God.
Are you a singer? A bell ringer? Would you like to become one? Email Donna McMillan and she’ll invite you to participate in a rehearsal!
Worship is an act of the gathered people – that includes you! Sign up here to lead the congregation in prayer and scripture reading, to serve communion, or to bring the light of Christ into the sanctuary as an acolyte. We will prepare you for all you need to know and will even help you pronounce those tricky Old Testament names.
